ATVB at 2014 National History Day Contest Wednesday, 26 March 2014 21:20
Advanced TV Broadcasting Team Members Macey David and Aunja Fenroy took 2nd place in the Senior Documentary Division in the regional round of the National History Day Contest.  The regional round was held at the National WWII Museum in New Orleans on Saturday, March 22, 2014.
Getting Feedback From Pros Tuesday, 25 March 2014 18:21 On November 4, 2013 Digital Media Team Members began working with members from the Center For Planning Excellence (CPEX) and St. Charles Parish Government to create a brand for the Paul Maillard Corridor Revitalization Plan. The Team Members were asked to design a logo that would help give an identity to the project and could be used as a cornerstone for a recognizable brand for the Corridor.

  Festival Highlights the Creative Talents of Local High School Students Luling, Louisiana -- The 9th Annual Satellite Center Video & Animation Festival (SCVAF) will be held Friday, April 4, 2014 at the Professional Learning Center, 12727 HWY. 90, Luling, LA. The Festival showcases the creative talents of high school students from the Greater New Orleans Area in the areas of animation, broadcasting, film, documentaries, music videos, motion graphics, and experimental film or animation.
2014 STAR Student Of The Year Tuesday, 11 March 2014 15:39 Payton Bryant has been named the 2013 – 2014 S.T.A.R. (Students Teaching and Reaching) Student Of the Year. Payton is a senior at Hahnville High School and a team member in the S.T.A.R. program at the Satellite Center.  
Career Link 2014 Wednesday, 26 February 2014 00:26 The purpose of the Career Link event is to provide information to 11th and 12th grade students and their parents about the career and technical education programs offered at South Central River Parishes Technical College located in Reserve.  In addition, industry partners will have tables set up besides the college instructors’ tables.  The industry representatives support the technical college programs and in many cases hire the completers of the college programs.
Interactive Media Alum, Haley Hebert, Speaks to Team Members Monday, 13 January 2014 19:07 Haley Hebert, a 2013 alum of the Interactive Media course, stopped in to speak to the current Team Members in Interactive Media, Digital Media and Advanced TV Broadcasting. Haley spoke about her current role as Communications Assistant at GNO, Inc. and the path that she followed to get to where she is so far in her budding career.

Friday, December 6, the Nims Film Center in Harahan opened their facilities to local high school students interested in careers in the film or television industries. A group of Advanced Television Broadcasting, Interactive Media, and Digital Media Team Members from the St. Charles Satellite Center were among some of the students that traveled there to tour their studios and learn about the services they offer to the local and national film and television industries.

Part of the "Satellite Center Way" is to look back on what you have achieved and celebrate your accomplishments.
